Itinerary

Machu Picchu Full Day offers a complete journey from Cusco to the legendary Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, combining transportation, train travel, guided exploration and free time to enjoy one of the most famous archaeological destinations in the world.

The experience begins with hotel pickup in Cusco and transfer to the train station. The train journey continues through the Sacred Valley, following impressive Andean landscapes and the Urubamba River until reaching Machu Picchu Pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes.

Upon arrival, passengers receive assistance and instructions before taking the bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu. At the archaeological site, a professional guide leads the visit and explains the history, importance, architecture and cultural legacy of the Inca citadel.

After the guided tour, visitors have free time to take photographs and appreciate the surrounding mountain scenery before returning by bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo.

Depending on availability and prior reservation, the experience may optionally be complemented with a visit to Huayna Picchu, which offers panoramic views over Machu Picchu and the surrounding landscape.

Back in Machu Picchu Pueblo, travelers have free time before boarding the return train to Ollantaytambo. Tourist transportation then completes the journey back to Cusco.

Travel Information

The tour begins with hotel pickup in Cusco at approximately 4:00 AM and transfer to the train station.

The reference itinerary indicates a 6:10 AM train departure from Ollantaytambo, arriving in Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) at approximately 7:50 AM.

After assistance on arrival, the bus to Machu Picchu is scheduled at approximately 8:15 AM. The guided visit begins around 9:00 AM and lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The return bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo is scheduled around 1:00 PM. Travelers then have free time before heading to the train station.

The return train is scheduled at approximately 4:00 PM, arriving in Ollantaytambo between 5:40 and 6:00 PM, followed by tourist transportation to Cusco. Approximate arrival in Cusco is 8:00 PM.
